5G vs 4G: Why is 5G Network Faster than 4G ?

Why is 5G Network Faster than 4G The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has already announced the launch of 5G in India. As per the previous report, 5G rollout will happen in 2022 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow and Gandhinagar. Reliance is making significant progress in 5G testing. The company has already confirmed that it has planned 5G coverage for 1,000 top cities across the country. Although the commercial release of 5G is yet to be released, even before that the details of Jio's 5G speed have been revealed, knowing that you will also be surprised.

Let's take a look ahead to see how much download-upload speed will be available on Jio's 5G network

Jio's 5G network has been able to achieve download speeds of 420Mbps and upload speeds of 412Mbps during pilot testing. The company's 4G network has a download speed of 46.82 Mbps and an upload speed of 25.31 Mbps. The test results give us a hint that 5G download speed is 8x faster and upload speed is 15x faster than 4G network.
We can expect that the actual speed may be different when 5G becomes officially available to all. Jio has managed to achieve 1Gbps speed during the first trial. However, users should not expect speeds in Gbps, as no telecom operator in India is planning to offer the mmWave frequency. Let us tell you that, before the 4G network was released in 2016, Jio had achieved speeds of around 135 Mbps in the testing phase, which was later reduced to just 25-30 Mbps when it was rolled out to the public.

As mentioned above, Jio has completed 5G plans for 1,000 cities across India. The company will introduce step-by-step 5G in the country, with high speed in only a few cities.
